About
Julia Horel was born in Guadeloupe, French West Indies, before moving and growing up in Paris. She discovered photography through Helmut Newton, Nan Goldin and Richard Avedon, which later led her to study press relations with a special interest for visual arts. Julia then travelled before settling down in Melbourne, Australia, where she graduated with a Diploma in photography at Melbourne Polytechnic in 2021. Her work focuses on women, carried by the desire to highlight and showcase their beauty, personality and intimacy.
